Welcome to Nursery’s Class Page!

Miss Peake
Nursery Teacher
Hello, I’m Miss Peake. I’ve been teaching at Smallthorne Primary Academy for over 20 years and love being a part of the Smallthorne community. At university I specialised in Early Years and Art so being the Nursery Teacher is perfect for me. I like to help children get the best start they can by develop their confidence and social skills through all sorts of fun and practical experiences. My favourite lessons are… ALL OF THEM, it’s such fun all day, every day in Nursery.

At home I have a rascally puppy called Rupert who keeps me very busy. I also like to spend my spare time painting.

Mrs Guest
Senior Early Years Practitioner
My name is Mrs Guest and I have worked at Smallthorne for just over 19 years and enjoy it every day. I love working in Nursery, as it’s the first year they start their education and I get to support with that. Not only do I support their education, but I help to encourage their social skills, independence and build up their confidence through all the fun and exciting activities we prepare.

I recently got married and have two beautiful daughters. I enjoy playing and spending quality time with my daughters and doing cross stitch and craft in my spare time.

Miss Peake and Mrs Guest would like to share with you all of the information you need to know about our Nursery!

Our PE day is on a Thursday.
Please send your child to school in their PE kit and ensure they are not wearing earrings or jewellery.

Please read with your child at least 4 times per week at home using the books provided.  Don’t forget to sign their reading diary so that they get their raffle ticket!

Take a look at what Nursery get up to…

We had an amazing day at Peak Wildlife Park! We even had a talk about the meerkats and penguins!

The rain didn’t dampen our fun!
